Weigh-In Wednesday on Tuesday.

Hi Lovies! It's Tuesday and that means that my co-host, the incredibly sexy Shawn, and I will be blogging about whatever we want because that's what our linky party is all about. And boy am I ever ready to talk!

So, do you know this book? Let's just say that yesterday wasn't a great day for me.

*I had to report for jury duty.

*Before leaving, I discovered MY WALLET WAS MISSING! I left it at the freaking movie theater Sunday!!! I had a small meltdown and a couple of panic attacks but I had on mascara so I didn't cry. {A good Samaritan returned it in and everything was still in it, including $50 in cash! Thank you SWEET BABY JESUS for good people!}

*After spending 1/2 day in court, I was told I have to report back on Wednesday. NOOOO! That's my Mother's Day Out day to get stuff done without my mini tornado by my side!!!!!!!

*After court, I continued my volunteering efforts to help a friend in dire need and it all led to a big fat migraine. Let it be known that I hate computers and new technology.

*Emma had several meltdowns yesterday. One happened during dinner with M's company. I wanted to beat dat azz but I didn't.

*I didn't even open my laptop until 11:00pm. I HATE that I didn't visit blogs. I promise to visit you!! Don't hate me!!

Technically my list is much longer, but I'm sick of rambling. Let's go to the positive portion for today's post.

I'm here to show you some pictures! As the title suggests, I'm doing a weigh-in today. I will be in freaking court on Wednesday so I won't be posting.

If you've been following me for a few weeks, you know that I've been on a strict diet called the Dukan Diet. {click for more information} Here are my latest statistics:

My weight as of January 1st: 177.9

My weight 2 weeks ago:         163.8
My weight today:                     161.6
2 week loss:                                -2.2
Total weight loss:                     -16.3

Here are 2 picture comparisons: {click to make bigger}

I realize that the left side is almost 2 years old but I weighed almost the exact same before I started the Dukan diet. {The before pics were pre-P90X training--I only made it to week 5}. I'm amazed at the changes that I see happening.

I didn't post any views from the front because the "girls" are shy, ok? Didn't you read yesterday's post about flashing the girls during Mardi Gras? I'm sure you understand. I have men readers whom I adore and I wouldn't want to make them blush.

***I want to add that the sports bra up there is an Enell. If you worry about your girls floppin' around while working out and need them to NEVER MOVE during your run, then you need to invest. It's the best sports bra ever! I saw them on Oprah years ago. ***

Ok, I'm all out of talk for one post. Thanks for letting me ramble. I'm ready to listen to you now. What are you blogging about today? Talk to us. We're hear to listen!

I'm also linking up with Stacy today!

You look amazing! That diet is definitely working for you! No back fat and your tummy is trim! You are going to knock em dead in Cali!

So sorry about the rough day, but hurray for good people and returning wallets. Oh jury duty, bleck. I have been summoned three times already and I'm not even 30! I have yet to serve though. They don't want me now though. Deputy wives tend to be bias. ;-) if you sit next to a guy with a pineapple in his briefcase call me. Sex and the city reference! :-)

Terra H. said...

I've never heard of that diet but it seems to be working well for you. It's rare that a wallet with money gets returned so you were definitely lucky there. Goes to show that there are good samaritans out there still.

Stacy Uncorked said...

You're looking HAWT! You, my friend, are an inspiration. :)

That was definitely a Good Samaritan - nice to know they're still around, especially turning in a wallet with the cash still in it!

I can empathize with the meltdown mode...Little Dude seems to be having them on a regular basis the past few days...seems to happen around the full moon - which is this Thursday. I'm hoping the full moon will also turn into the light at the end of the tunnel. :)

UGH! Jury Duty is so inconvenient - I've only been called up once, but I wrote a letter to the court politely asking they excuse me since I'm the one who gets Princess Nagger on and off the bus, and my family is 3000 miles away...I was excused. Sorry they're messing up your Mother's Day Out.

I have an Enell sports bra! I literally exhale when I take it off cause it pulls everything in so tight! I love it!

You are looking good, I am proud of you for sticking with it!

Sorry about the jury duty, knock on wood, I have never been called. Just start talking to yourself while you are waiting and maybe you can get disqualified....

You look amazing! So proud of you for sticking to it!!

I really hope today is a better day.

I hate jury duty! What a pain!

You look fantastic! I think you are so disciplined to stick to that diet, I honestly don't think I could cut foods out entirely for the rest of my life. There has GOT to be another way! But you look great!
Keep up the good work!

Wow, 16 pounds in that short amount of time? OK, I might be convinced to try it. :)

OMG I love that book! It was a favorite of my son's to have me read to him. It helped us both at times put a bad day in perspective.

You look great!!! I'm so proud of you for sticking with this cruel diet! ;)

Is it odd I've secretly hoped for jury duty? But only if it's a juicy case!

Glad you got your wallet back. You may have had a bad day, but the fact that one of the three good people left in the world returned it, actually indicates you have GREAT luck! xo

Connie Weiss said...

WHOO HOOO! You look great! But can I just say....you looked pretty good before.

Sorry you had a bad day. :(

haha, the girls are shy. You crack me up!

And you are lookin good. Keep up the good work! I know it is hard, but it's so worth it, right :)

Oh jury duty, how I hate thee. Your day sounds about like my weekend. Never have I been happier to see Monday arrive! I hope your Tuesday is much better!

Jessica Cortez said...

You look awesome! Way to go on all of the hard work!

And I take it you didn't do the fainting part at jury duty. Haha :) Glad you found your wallet. I would have sooo had a million panic attacks!

Cathy Kennedy said...

Wow, 16 pounds in two months is wonderful progress! It's all about diet & exercise. I know I need to be more strict about keeping my calorie count in check. I really want to drop 10 pounds before mid May. That's achievable, if I stick to my plan. Visiting from RTT!

Daisy said...

How nice of that someone to bring your wallet back, doesn't happen a
lot anymore these days.
Good to hear there are some good samaritans left in this world.
Also, wow on your weight loss progress! Well done you!

VandyJ said...

You are looking hawt! Almost makes giving up the Captain worth it--no probably not.
Seeing results is the best part though.

First of all I want that bra, but I have issues thinking they make them for a chest my size. Which is kind of irritating when I think about it.. I mean hello they want us to lose weight and workout then make us outfits that help support the things that make it difficult. Whew on the wallet, there are still honest people in the world. Sucks about jury duty hun, hope it is small and easy case and you are in and out.

AndreaLeigh said...

you look awesome IA! I can see such a difference in the pics. Go you! I'm so proud of all your hard work and devotion.

That does sound like a bad day. I feel you, friend. I haven't had the best week so far. I cant believe you lost your wallet (I have so been there) but praise for the good Samaritan that found it!

Jill said...

Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day...one of my favourites. And I also tend to tell people, after I've had a bad day, that it was "Jillian and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Effin' Day".

You're rockin' it!!! Way to go! You're inspiring me to get back at it!! :)

Shawn said...

You look A-MAY-ZING! I am so proud of you for sticking to it even when you wanted to give up, you're a stronger person than me that's for sure!

Hopefully you can get out of jury duty tomorrow be pulling the SAHM card with no family in town...good luck!

Rebekah said...

Ugh, jury duty?? Not fun. Yay for someone finding your wallet and returning it with everything! You are looking great! I'll have to look into that sports bra. As it is, I have to wear 2 just for comfort!

I have yet in my 30 something years alive been called to Jury Duty.. and I thought you could get out of it if you were the primary care giver!? I sortof wish I could go to jury duty but I really want to get put on a HIGH LEVEL case, you know the Televised one!
You look fabulous girl!! Very proud of you. I need to put my ice cream down and get motivated. Summer is coming and I don't want to embarrass my kids..
This has been a bad luck week for me-- I might as well have lost my wallet! agh!!
There is not enough time in the day for everything!

So happy someone was actually a nice person & turned your wallet in! Yay!
Never had jury duty before, hope you get let out early!!

Wow! Great Job on the weight loss!
You are looking amazing!

Oh my gosh you look unbeliveable! I looked into that diet. You are hard core. I want to be hard core but I'm not sure I could be. Realistically I need someone to tell me exactly what to do, what to eat & be here to hold my hand through it all. Isn;t that sad. Annnoying & Frustrating too. Grrr.

Jury Duty... I feel your pain, I am supposed to report in on Thursday. Last time I had to report I ended up being on a trial that lasted 4 days... what mama has time for that. Uggghhh!

Colleen said...

You look amazing! You are doing awesome. Keep it up!

Jury duty sucks, but I've never had to do it. Still, I konw it sucks. Picking a jury sucks, too, just FYI.

Glad you got your wallet back. I've been leaving my stuff EVERYWHERE lately.

Emmy said...

Yes, can totally see a difference!! You look great and are doing so so good.

Sorry about the horrible day and so sorry you have to report back- so annoying. I have gotten out of jury duty every time so far, nursing a baby one time, sole care provider for kids during day-- hoping it stays that way.
Off to read your post from yesterday I am so behind

Lisa Evans said...

LOL post! I went on the Dukan website and it said I am already my true weight?! Does that mean I am stuck at 20lbs overweight no matter what I do?!?

Congrats on the weight loss...YOU ROCK! You inspire me!
So awesome that someone found your wallet and turned it in (with money still inside). Its great to know that there are good people!
Sorry about the meltdowns with Emma. I would like to say they go away, but I can't. Now at age 9....Gavin's meltdowns are less often but larger.
Hate meltdowns....they suck! And I always take it personally (ugh dumb).
OH I copied your sopapilla recipe to my "blog recipes". Sounds very very yummy!

I'm so sorry for your crappy day...and for jury duty. Gah!

I'm so impressed with your diet and you being so strict and all that. But, I think you look great with or without the 16 pounds.

I've lived in Tulsa for 20 years and have never had jury duty. Isn't that strange?

I love that there is still good people out in the world who return lost things! Jury duty.. yuck! Hope you're done with it now! I think you're doing GREAT on the weight loss!
