Dear July, You Can Suck It.

Hey to my faithful lovies! I'm waiting patiently for my blogging mojo to come back and it's just not. I'm not sure what's up but it's kinda frustrating. I miss reading you all on a regular basis. Shawn and I couldn't do this link party without all the "regulars" linking up and we really enjoy the newbies too. Are you posting today? If so, link up--unless you don't want anyone to read your post. Then don't. =)

Lemme just give you a sneak peak into my July so far:
*I had a trip to the HELL ER for a stomach issue that didn't end so well. {click HERE for that lovely story.}
*Emma had a viral infection which gave her sores in her mouth so she didn't eat for 7 days.
*I have strep throat. It has lasted for 5 days so far...
*I had to visit a gastro specialist and the wait to talk to him for 2.5 minutes was outrageous.
*I had an ultrasound to check for gallstones and some other random things. {separate appointment of course}
*I went to 5 doctors in 5 days.
*My precious grandmother had surgery to remove malignant tumors. {It went well. Thanks for the prayers last week!}

So, basically, JULY CAN SUCK IT.

But I'm no Negative Nancy. Here are the positives so far for this month:

*We found out the sex of our babe. Woo Hoo!
*Had a great 4th with family and friends.
*Emma can "officially" swim and she's only 2.5!
*I started getting People magazine in the mail. I love my trashy entertainment updates!
*My momma and daddy took great care of me this month through all my ailments. Love them!
*We leave for Michigan on Friday. Hello cooler temperatures!

So, what's new with you? Anything negative or positive?

Oh, and if you haven't heard if it's a BOY or a GIRL, check out this video! ;-)

**If you have a favorite baby name {for the gender in the video}, please PLEASE leave me a comment. This whole baby-naming business is taking a toll on my marriage. Who knew??

My SIL who is 29 weeks pregnant with a boy is going to name him Cooper. But you don't even know her and live in a different place so you can steal it too if you like it :)

July is now officially halfway over so I am declaring the second half of July to be fabulous and wonderful for you!

I will be linking in the AM

I second Emmy's nomination for the second half of July to be fabulous and wonderful for you. There. Hopefully that'll work. ;)

So so sorry about all the ailments and crap you've had to put up with so far in July - things can only get better from here, right? Hope everyone is well now!

And that is the coolest way to announce the sex of your baby! LOVE it! And after I get a good night's rest, I'll try to think of some cool names for the babe. ;)

Steamy Weather, Nomination Honor, Wonky Thermostat and Asshat Parking

I like Emmy's suggestion of Cooper. That's Colin's middle name :)

I hope you get to feeling better soon mama. I have been feeling pretty crappy too, that's why I haven't been blogging.

I did see the post though about your grandma and I was praying for her. I am SOOO glad her surgery went well!! Thank the Lord!!

I'm ready for a new month. I'm so sorry yours has been so sucky. I can't wait for cooler temps either. We're heading to Carmel next month for some wonderful cool breezes!

Can I tell you how happy it makes me that I knew the answer to the boy/girl question already? And that I called it right? :-) So excited for you 4 (and Lexie too!)

Send me your old People mags! Love that trash! I'm so glad you have great family support over there. Wishing you lots of healing thoughts. Hopefully you'll be feeling better fast! Any answers from the gastro specialists??

Let's hope you can put all that behind you now and really start enjoying your summer! That little video is just too precious :)

Consider family names, as a possibility. We elected to name our DS after my DH's dad and used DH's middle name. It worked beautifully and I love that we did this. My DS is now 18. Oh how the years evaporate! Thanks for hosting. I hope the rest of this month is better for you.

Sounds like your July was as bad as my June; this summer boy, I tell ya. Anyway, I totally called boy but I am partial; I have two and they are, well, amazing! But I AM biased, of course. Happy Tuesday!

Pick me up on the way by to Michigan.

What an aweful July so far! I'm sorry to hear that, but I bet things will pick up from here. They darn well better.

Flynn is always a good name for a boy. MacGyver and I had a rough time picking names, too. The only names we could agree on, everyone else hated.

I also like Miller, Archer, and Fletcher.

Good luck!

So glad you're able to find positives to balance out the crap! Whoa, you've had your fair share, the rest of the summer can only get better!!

I guessed right! I never guess right!! :) I could name baby boys all day...some of my faves are Joel, Benjamin, Hayden, Oliver, Jase, Connor, Gavin, Drew...

Hoping everyone is on the mend currently. Have fun in Michigan, we are headed there in August.
As for names, we had a heck of a time coming up with boy names. Girl names were easy, but we didn't have girls. With Bruiser we were tossed between tow names, since we chose one, I'll share the other--Finn. It went well with Nick grandfather's name which we were using as a middle name. I also checked out name books from the library and gave one to Nick and took one and he listed names he liked and I listed names I liked and then we compared lists. That might work. I really didn't like the naming process--there's so much that goes into it.

Found your blog and Link up through Emma @ Your Doctor's Wife. Girl, you have had a July. I'm glad you were able to look on the sunny side and glad you're getting your cute pregnant self to a cooler climate. Nice to meet you. Ellen

I'm sure I've already told you too many times, but loved your reveal video! Okay, so names. I love Austin, Luke, Blake, Grant, Dustin, and I could probably go on for a while, so I'll stop there for now :)

Steph said...

Yay! I knew it was a boy!

I'll tell you what names I don't like. I don't like Brayden, Hayden, Kayden, or Grayden or anything like that.

Annabelle said...

Congrats on the baby boy! I loved the video! Boy names that I like and thought of using are Jacob, Mason, and Gunner. I used Zane. Which I love now that he is 4! lol

Amy said...

Glad you are feeling better! I miss your posts!

Baby names: Chase or Ethan... I like those

My grandfather's name was Macauley; he went by Mac. Great name, great man. Congrats

No more bad in your July! You've got a boy on the way and it's time to celebrate.

I'm partial to names that 47 other children don't have, but I work in a school district, so I'm a little biased.

I like the name Zeke. and Jake. and Millard. Just kidding about Millard. Really--that had to have been a family name or something.

Kenzie CBMommyhood said...

Sounds like you have had a pretty rough July! You definitely need some R&R.
Congratulations on the boy! That is so exciting :) I'm rather partial to the name Carson. I also love the name Gunner.

Ashley Rose said...

Yay!! A boy!! Congratulations! Now you'll have one of each! I'm suuuper happy for you guys. We're in the same boat, lady! 2.5 year old and pregnant with number two and it's the opposite sex as number one. So rad. (Yup. Just said "rad".)

As for names....oi...hubby and I do NOT agree on boy names. He likes stuff like Maximus and Atticus and Magnus (what's with the 'us' names?!) and I like names like Luca and Theo (Theodore, but who would ACTUALLY use the full name?) and Elijah....good thing we're having a girl and we agree on girl names!

Yogi♪♪♪ said...

Well dang I had no idea that all that was going on. No wonder you haven't felt like blogging.

Since the boy is going to be a little cheesehead about Bart or Brett?

I hope that the rest of the month looks better for you.

Sarah Kate said...

Jeez girl...I can't believe the amount of medical issues you guys have been dealing with!!! Please don't DIE!!!!! ;o)

Ehhh...names...I'm awful at that. Just try not to choose something ridiculous or pick a crazy hard spelling. I knew someone who named their kid Justin, but they spelled it Jusstyn. SERIOUSLY??? Who does that?

Jonni Baloney said...

My sisters both put lists of names on the frig and crossed through them as they eliminated names.
Any good family names you can pass down?

Mercy D'souza said...

It's obviously been a long time since I read your blog because I had no idea you were pregnant. Congratulations!

Names? I always got stuck with boy names but my sister has used some cool names for her boys: Keith Evan, Sonny Gabriel, Brian Asher, and Jacen (don't recall his middle name).
